Expansion targets single-setup production of complex components for robotics, thermal management and industrial automation customers in North America and Europe

DONGGUAN, CHINA, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Richconn, a precision CNC machining supplier serving industrial customers across North America, Europe and Australia, today announced that four Mazak VARIAXIS i-700 NEO five-axis machining centers have been installed and brought into production at the company’s manufacturing facility in Humen, Dongguan, Guangdong Province.

The addition of four simultaneous five-axis machines in a single installation expands capacity for components that require multi-surface machining in one setup — a category of work where positional accuracy depends less on the cutting itself than on eliminating the error that accumulates each time a part is re-fixtured.

The VARIAXIS i-700 NEO is a vertical machining center with full simultaneous five-axis control, built around a 700 × 500 mm trunnion-mounted rotary table with an A-axis travel range of −120° to +30°. It accommodates workpieces up to 850 mm in diameter and 500 mm in height. The tilt and rotary axes use roller gear cam technology that eliminates backlash, and the machine automatically measures and compensates for positional misalignment and inclination of the rotary axes — a prerequisite for holding accuracy across complex five-axis toolpaths.

Thermal stability is addressed through temperature-controlled cooling oil circulated around the spindle bearings and headstock, limiting spindle drift during extended cutting. The series also applies AI-based detection of milling spindle vibration, automatically adjusting machining conditions to maintain surface finish across long production runs. Richconn’s machines are configured with the 12,000 rpm 40-taper spindle and a 30-tool magazine, running MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC control.

The five-axis centers operate alongside Richconn’s existing three- and four-axis milling, CNC turning and Swiss-type turn-mill capacity, and are supported by the company’s in-house coordinate measuring capability, which was expanded earlier this year.
