SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Maven Robotics, an intelligent industrial robotics company, launched today and announced $100 million in Series A funding from RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures, and XTX Ventures, among others. Maven designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing. Founded in 2024, the company has created the world’s first general-purpose robotics system for industrial work.
Demand for industrial labor in the United States is exploding, but labor is shrinking. There are more than 480,000 manufacturing jobs unfilled in the U.S. today, and the manufacturing skills gap could leave 2.1 million jobs unfilled by 2030. In the first half of 2026, global VC investment in robotics topped $18.8 billion. Despite this, real-world deployment remains limited. Industrial applications demand autonomous systems that can reliably perform complex tasks day after day.
Maven designed its system from first principles for complex physical environments and rigorous industrial requirements. The system integrates hardware, software, and AI across every layer, including the robot, the fleet, the factory, and the Maven network. The company was co-founded by brothers Hamza and Khalid Derbas. Hamza, Maven Robotics’ CEO, has spent more than two decades developing autonomous systems and bringing complex physical technologies to market. Khalid, the company’s CFO, is an experienced investor and operator who has scaled businesses across global markets. Together, they assembled a team with a combined 200+ years of experience across AI, robotics, engineering and autonomous systems at Apple, Tesla, Rivian, Cruise, Zoox, Ford, Archer Aviation and more.

Maven is seeing significant demand for its approach. They have already deployed robot fleets working autonomously over multiple shifts a day with a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods company. The company is expanding with more customers and deployments, and expects to accumulate over 100,000 hours of autonomous real-world operations by year end, and to surpass 1,000,000 hours by the end of 2027.
